ON YOM KIPPUR I SAW THE NEXT GREAT AWAKENING!
As I waited on the Lord on the Day of Atonement; the way I was encouraged by my prophetic friends the Lord spoke to me. I saw a flaming sword and heard the word, "Awakening."
I then heard, "I'm awakening My people to the truth of their Sonship."
If you have been in the church for any length of time you have heard prophecies about another great awakening or a great revival coming. I believe this is true but the greatest awakening coming is when the church realizes how good God is and how He sees us as His beloved children.
This next "awakening" can't be stopped because instead of being performance driven and goal oriented, it's coming out of our eternal position in Christ. The fire on the sword is burning religiosity in our hearts that keeps us striving to get God to do something that He deeply desires to do and has even promised to do.
The orphan spirit that operates in legalism and performance is being exposed.
I saw ministers burnt out from striving to get God to move and the people following them grew more and more exhausted as well.
I then heard, "cast your net on the other side."
Luke 5:4 ,"When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.” 5 Simon answered and said, “Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but I will do as You say and let down the nets.” 6 When they had done this, they enclosed a great quantity of fish, and their nets began to break."
Sometimes it requires us getting exhausted in human effort before we stop long enough to listen to the voice of the Father. New strategies are coming this year out of Sonship out of rest that will birth ideas that will cause the Church to come alive and bring in the harvest with ease.
The word connected to Awakening this year is the word Rest.
Not rest as inactivity but resting in the Father's love, hearing Him and obeying.
I also heard, "I want my people to live with expectation of what I'm going to do again."
Unbelief is being dealt with in our hearts as we enter this new year. Out of the revelation of God as not just Father but beloved Dad we will possess the faith of children again as we receive the joy of our salvation.
The revelation of living in the continual favor of the Lord is coming upon us. Favor is not seasonal, favor is what Christ declared upon reading Luke 4:18, " the year of the Lord's favor."
Not just a year but a lifetime for those in Christ.
We are transitioning from a sin based understanding of Christianity, where God's whole plan was to get rid of sin to get us into heaven, to a theology rooted in the Father's desire as found in
3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. 4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
I prophesy a great awakening, one in which the Church will be awakened to the truth of their position as Sons and Daughters of a loving, merciful Father. This awakening will lead to countless souls being won for Christ, innovative ideas that shift cultures, but ultimately it will detox the Church from religious entanglements that have hindered our ability to see the Father the way Jesus told Phillip. "If you've seen me, you've seen the Father.
I prophesy we are in the greatest reformation known to man, where our understanding of the nature and character of God is being transformed from, "sinners in the hands of an angry God," to children in the hands of a loving and merciful Father.
Take time this year to slow down from the religious activities that are burning you out and spent time listening to voice of your Heavenly Father. More will be produced out of those who have been detoxed out of performance based religion than those still striving to please God. Lovers produce more than servants.
